Madelyn, Rooney Made of Awesome | Ern-la the Best-wa | TZ's Apogee Yep. We see you, Blondie. Will gave Madelyn a solemn nod at her cheering, although there was a twinkle of humor in his eyes. He had to do this right, okay? He had to take this very seriously, so knock it off with the adorable sparkling in his direction. Turning his attention back to the screens and his fellow commentator, it did not go unnoticed by Will that the younger Gryffindor didn’t appreciate being called Z-baby or any other cutesy nickname. Eh. Fine. He mentally shrugged and decided to call her ‘Hey’ for now.
But to the events at hand… Will opened his mouth, and his booming voice emerged once again. ”And once again, folks, things have taken a dire turn. Bad enough that our challengers are out their freezing their respective butts off, but now we have a bunch of popsicle people in cages turning up! And not exactly the hale and hearty types… it looks like those cages have at least two old ladies and a kid! That’s not mention two… three… four students who did not sign up for hypothermia on a beautiful March day. Let’s hope those challengers know what they’re about before someone loses a digit they can’t replace.” A toe or two was fine, but holding a wand with only three fingers was really inconvenient.
In short order, it appeared that the challengers were not handling the stress of the situation well. Lots of flailing and casting spells and raging against what was obviously a very sturdy and magically warded cage. Not super productive. ”And it appears that the cold is making people lose their ever loving mind. Brent Westwood is having a conversation with a lock, the gorgeous Louise Hamilton is attempting to stab her sister with her wand… YOU’RE A WITCH, HAMILTON. I’m not sure how I’d react to see one of my siblings freezing in a cage, but I hope I wouldn't panic…. Much.” But he would, and that’s why he was here and not over there. It was just the slightest bit nippy, but Katy was starting to enjoy the punishment of IMPS challenges – freezing and eating junk food and squinting at a screen while people jostled in too close. It was supposed to be fun and exciting, and by some weird turn, it was. And that was weird to a girl who only ever enjoyed Quidditch from a private box.
She grabbed a box of popcorn and a seat near the Head Boy. Close but not that close. Polite close. “Who are you cheering for? The Gryffindors or the American pretending to be a Slytherin?” She adjusted her shades and gave Rooney a cheeky smile.
