Haraldur Baldvinsson was a busy man. Too busy for his age maybe. And with the holiday season with Christmas just around the corner and everything that came with it; it was a lot.
But that didn't mean he didn't have time to help out his fellow staff members to whip up a nice looking snowy environment. As a favor to young, nice Mr. Kalen, the kiddos and the book club. If it was a winter wonderland, then it was a winter wonderland they were getting. Outside on the grounds, he was removing snow to create pathways and inside he was creating snow for them.
It would all just be a lot easier if they made up their minds. Did they want snow or not? But he had plenty of time to perfect the snowy land for the book club.
Or so he thought. Was that... Voices?
The groundskeeper shuffled over behind a tree, peeking through some branches to spot the intruders people. What time was it? He was supposed to have done this and left the library by the time the book club started. And now he was stuck inside Narnia. Forever...
First, he got lost in the book maze. (Terror, by the way.) And now, he would have to walk up to the librarian (and the other members of staff present) just to admit he was too late and didn't get out in time.
ORRRRR, he could just hide behind the tree until they all left and then sneak out undetected. As long as no one spotted him behind the tree he was currently pressed up against, he would be fiiiiiiiiiiine.
