She still hadn't found her buddy by the time she got into the Great Hall, but really that wasn't high on Maesi's priority list. At least not yet. She'd probably find her eventually and she was more interested in taking everything in. Truthfully though, if Maesi wasn't already so excited to be studying abroad, she'd have been somewhat disappointed with Hogwarts. So far it seemed quaint with old word charm (though that was her being nice), but the Great Hall was a little better with that amazing ceiling.
She had gotten caught up in looking at it when she came, then was at a loss at where to sit. That green table with the snake looked good to her and she was on her way there when she spotted a bunch of Horned Serpents at the blue table of eagles, so she bounded her way over. And eee! There was her buddy!
"There you are!" She chirped at Safaia, and she edged and shimmied her way into the spot between her and Deo. Wasn't getting rid of her that easily! "Hey, handsome!" She gave Deo a nudge, just teasing him. Hehe, he was so funny. Ooh and there was Manuela and Evan there too! And her sister! "Hey, y'all! So what'd I miss?" Because there was so much talking and her eyes tried to take in all the faces there while she heard bits and pieces of the conversations. The Hogwartians at the table where she was sat got collective two-handed finger wiggles from her, even the angry-looking girl who startled her with the slamming of a book. She wanted to know them all and for them all to know her.
