The humming had drawn Aslan Evans from her work in the greenhouse to the very pathway the statuesque Headmistress had settled in... and apparently many of her fellow students. She glanced at them all in mild, dazed curiosity before settling not far behind the headmistress.
The buzzing was incessant and left her ears ringing uncomfortably but she stayed put, her curiosity overpowering her physical discomfort. It felt like something was coming, a feeling that eclipsed her thinking even before the Headmistress spoke the very words which left Aslan certain.
a shimmering light on the wind grabbed the Gryffindor's attention, but a moment later it had passed. She squinted, dark eyes straining in the dim light. Aslan turned her eyes again to the forms of the Professors who seemed anything but unsure. Ready, excited almost? That could be ether a warning or welcoming sign considering the strange humor of Hogwarts staff and although a part of her felt the urge to slip away before this calm situation spiraled into something else, the rest of her wanted nothing more than to stay put and wait.
Anticipation was tingling up and down her spine. Yes, the approach of an unknown entity wasn't something she wanted to miss.
