Jessa blinked, watching Derf inspect both arms. A part of her wanted to pull them away, suddenly far more self conscious than she'd been mere moments ago. Another part, however, was insanely curious about what he may have been looking for. Had she gotten something while on vacation that only he remembered--if so, what happened and why didn't she remembered and what was the series of events leading up to it in the first place?

Oh. A dark mark........"Huh...?" She'd never actually come across any readings about dark marks and found herself at a loss as to what he could have been going on about. It was seconds later that the dots began connecting. At this point she withdrew her arms, resting her hands in her lap and away from him. "That's not the only way to be a bad person. You can value results over consequences and end up hurting people by being thoughtless and oblivious." Thoughtless and oblivious on their own were a deadly combination she tried to stay away from. Typically the young girl was capable of processing all outcomes before beginning. This time it just...didn't work that way--which was curious in itself mind you, but that was a study for another day.

"You remember my friend RJ? The one that's in Ravenclaw too?"
The one with a girlfriend; an important note she told herself she'd never forget again.
