Declan nodded at Daisy's threat. It was an acknowledgement of her annoyance but he was sure she'd get over it by the next day. Hopefully. If not, well there was not much he could do about that for now. He pocketed his hands and sighed, shaking his head slightly at his siblings chatter.

"You can take the chicken, if that's what you want," Declan said with a small frown. He was slightly concerned. The chicken had been laying there and the courtyard looked well..trashy. He hoped the chicken hadn't gotten any of that on it but if it pleased Daisy..."Listen, Dukes," Declan was making up a name as he went. "I apologize but you know, I gotta look out for my own. It's just a simple binding spell." Temporary, really, but he wasn't about to tell her that bit. "I just need to make sure you're not going to go blabbering about what you saw and did tonight. I know," he said pulling out one hand from his pocket to raise it in the air. "I know, I could have just taken your word for it but people say a lot of things."

He took another deep breath and turned to Althea and the scarab. He swallowed hard as he looked at it.

"That's your Charlotte," he explained as best he could in the company of too many. "Can we talk about it later? I feel dizzy."
