Wowza! Levi returned his wand to its holster when it became clear Declan was done, and when his brother straightened he felt himself a release air he'd not aware he'd been holding. Declan was right when he informed Daisy this wasn't their first time having a go at the spiritual side of things--and this is what he was calling it for now, his brain rejected anything more complex--and throwing up wasn't really new either, and yet. It was probably not pertinent to inform Daisy that things were usually not this intense.
He had a strange feeling in the pit of his stomach and the exposed skin of his neck, and he did not want to think about it, but it was difficult not to and so he did: they were being watched. Or at least, Levi felt like they were being watched. He turned around, several times, squinting and frowning, but saw nothing but their own shadows and a sky full of stars. As he scratched the back of his head in confusion, Althea came over to hug Declan and Levi patted both of their backs. "Yeah, man. Not that I'm complaining because it was rather cool." Or it would be, later on, when he thought about it. "But I really thought we would be just be throwing some bones. Maybe summoning a dead relative's spirit, I don't know." Levi was really only joking about the last part. Probably.
The boy turned to Daisy and tried his best at looking both confident and also totally apologetic. It was probably an impossible combination to achieve but at least he was TRYING to make things right, if such a thing was possible. Though he was sure that whatever friendship they could have had was probably long gone by now. "You're okay, right?" He attempted a smile. "I mean, as okay as you can be after uh--that." Still feeling like someone was watching him, Levi turned around once more and even walked the perimeter until his eyes fell on the offerings. He laughed. "Look, the chicken is still here!!!" And the rosewater, too, though it'd been knocked over by the wind, its contents spilling on the courtyard's floor.
