People needed to stop thinking of it as a mystery or just growling. They had seen what it was. They had tried to keep it at bay. And they had only just gotten away.

Kitty had just finished escorting three first years to the nearest bathroom (obviously in a castle as big as Hogwarts, there were bathrooms on every level) and was headed back to the library when she heard a whole lot of talking and shouting going on in a place she was very certain all students had been banned from.

Oh no, she thought to herself in a panic - more students haven't been taken, have they? She hurried towards the dreaded six level corridor...and froze, mouth hanging open in astonishment.

"ROONEY!" She threw her arms around her co-prefect and sobbed uncontrollably for a few moments. "You're safe, I knew you'd be! I've been so worried about you!" After a few moments she released him and turned to Carlton and Henry. "And you too! Everyone's missed you guys terribly."

And she was not at all embarrassed about her display of emotion in front of all these adults, not one bit. Speaking of which...

"Are you going to be our teacher again, Professor Flamsteed?" she asked the former Astronomy professor.
