Rooney may have just heaved out everything that was in his system, but he still felt like he more to give. He was muttering his apologies to Natalia over and over as he leaned against the wall himself, eyes closed and slowing his breathing as best as he could. He understood her loud reaction, but it wasn't like he had been able to help it. Had she not noticed that he was already covered in his own gross? Because he had now grown so used to it all that he couldn't quite identify that the smell was himself. When he did open his eyes and his vision focused, he was greeted with more people than he thought were there, and boy were they being louder than he needed them to be....especially Tenacuis and his hollering.
His head was already pounding from the screaming before coming back her, from both Carlton and the-- oh no, the monster! "Natalia, move away from there! The m.. Whatever it is. It was there with us." And fortunately for her, he didn't want her to be taken and have whatever happen to her that had happened to him. Because Rooney Bronwyn wasn't a bad person, unlike what the Head Girl thought of him.
He moved closer to Professor Myers, just as Carlton joined them finally. He carefully prised the first years wands out of his hand and put it into his holster for him. "It's okay now, Carlton. We're okay...safe..." And he wasn't going to be letting the Slytherin out of his sight for as long as he was physically allowed. Breathing through another urge to throw up, Rooney missed them being joined by staff from the Ministry of Magic, but stepped protectively in front of Carlton at the fuss to get whatever it was that he was covered in. "No. Leave him alone! You're not taking him anywhere!" Luckily, Professor Myers had stepped in and given a vial across and cleaned Carlton up properly, just in time for them to be joined by Henry.
"Henry! Henry, you're okay!" Thankfully.
They were all okay, weren't they?
