Simon had promised his wife that he wouldn’t start right of the bat with looking after officialdom like the orientation packets. Angelina knew him very well and where his mind tended to go. It was hard not to work or think of work when they were in the ministry building and surrounded by new and returning co-workers and fellow employees of the Ministry. But still he was going to try his best not to break that promise. Maybe actually have some enjoyment at the evening event…

On first choice, the security head opted for the buffet. It didn’t lock him in a seat to be jumped on by people and he was soooo NOT dancing. So that left food. Simon approached the table to grab a plate, noting Lex and Ryunosuke already there. Come to think of it, the other person they were talking to was also MLE…new MLE if he wasn’t completely mistaken.
Cool it Simon… he chided himself…forget the work of being aware of most everyone.
“Good evening…" he said simply as he moved to add something chicken to his plate. Each could reply as they so chose to, he wasn’t being anyone’s boss or potential ranking co-worker at the moment.
