Allegra nodded to each of Adam's statements, her mind growing more and more curious as he spoke. Of course she knew he was close to his brothers, it was one of the first things he shared with her as they were getting to know one another. But she didn't have first hand experience with siblings, didn't know what it was like to have any, and it only seemed to fascinate her more that Adam was so close with his. She was quickly awakened from these thoughts as he made an announcement. His brother wanted to... meet her? "Oh."
She was already in her own mind, trying to sort through these feelings of excitement and mild panic, when he went on to claim his older brother was more interesting, better looking. She paused her overthinking to shoot him a look, "I seriously doubt that." "And... he'd like you to join us for dinner tonight."
"Tonight?" Allegra repeated, eyebrows raised in a permanent state of elevation as she took this in. "I'd... really like that." It was true, she really wanted to meet his brother, to get to know his family - just the idea of it filled her with new excitement, but... "Are you sure that's alright?" After all, she and Adam had hardly just reunited, was he sure he wanted her meeting his brother already? "I don't want to intrude."
Of course, this invitation made her heart jump. Meeting his brother implied... a future. It suggested that this time apart hadn't made Adam want more space, as she had feared, and that he wanted to keep going ahead. Meeting families. Taking next steps. Still, she didn't want to assume anything, knowing they were still sort of in this strange time of change, for the both of them. "I just mean..." Allegra shrugged, but kept his eye contact, wanting to make sure. "Are you sure you want..." Halfway through the statement, she grew a little embarrassed and stopped.
