Sensing the lesson was getting c loser to beginning, Elle had looked up at the sound of a semi-familiar voice speaking from near her to see Rula standing there. Any sense of awkwardness that might have been there on her end wasn’t visible as she’d merely nodded. Of course she didn’t mind. They did have something in common after all, aside from both being Slytherins, and she figured it was easier having Rula as her table partner than it would be someone she didn’t know anything about.

However, unsurprisingly, the lesson had in fact begun, as the professor had closed the door and then returned to the front. Elle had merely blinked at the necessity to tell them what they should call her, too. She could only speak for herself, but she’d never considered referring to any professors by their first names. Even if she knew them.

She hadn’t needed to announcement that they were studying the planets either. That had been kind of obvious. But she’d stayed silent regarding the question. Instead, she’d merely written ‘Neptune’ on the parchment she’d laid out on the table in front of herself. There wasn’t a need to repeat everyone else’s answers, not when she knew it was correct.
