"You get used to it," Jacob answered with a shrug. It had sucked at first, especially since he wasn't very athletic overall, but he did have a pacing-while-thinking habit. Maybe that helped keep him in shape. He did eat a lot of chocolate frogs, and he did sit around and read a lot... By all accounts, he should probably be much larger than he was. Yeah, must be the pacing.

Because I did at the very end of last term and it's been so weird and everything is so different and how the heck are we supposed to get used to all this weird terminology like 'corridor' instead of 'hallway' and 'Muggle' instead of 'No-Maj' and why do they need to put a random 'u' in words like 'color' or 'favorite' that don't really need one?!" he exclaimed, almost in a single breath.

Okay, so much for playing it cool and not being weird. Usually he was on the quiet end of the weird spectrum, but he couldn't help his excitement and meeting someone who might actually get it (and he'd been dying to air those complaints to someone who would understand).
