Regardless, she was visiting today and was on the lookout for some familiar faces. She perched on the arms of the bench, squatting so that she was balancing barely on her tiptoes. Her elbows rested on the ripped knees of her jeans, and her eyes were alert under her sunglasses as she scanned the street. For anyone who knew her, it was a pretty familiar pose, and one she was just as likely to hold on a desk or a rooftop.
Seriously...no friendly faces?! Maybe she, and her Pa, for that matter, had been away for too long. Genny considered herself to be a 'familiar face' of Sam's regardless of the faces Sam was on the lookout for. In fact, Sam has always been some kind of a mystery to Genny and a very interesting and fun one. Alas, Genny's small patience for questions and pursuing mysteries drove the Gryffindor to take Sam the girl as she was without delving much on her background. The Ravenclaw was a remarkable girl and a good friend of Genny and that was that.
"Hi Sam!" Genny's voice came a little too high as she approached Sam from the side. "Nice sunglasses, they make you look like a detective." With the pose, too, of course. She hopped up on the bench and took her seat on its back with her feet resting on the seat next to her backpack, the worn out bat poking out. |
