The minister didn’t appear to be in any hurry to leave. Maybe she was going to stay and observe the rest of their meeting. His tummy growled like a hungry elephant. Not one to pass up free food, Adam pushed his chair back, trying not to make too much noise or to draw attention to himself. Little puffs of chicken and curry smelling smoke poofed behind him as he stepped around the table and snagged a bagel and muffin. He really wanted a tea, but settled for a bottle of water before hurrying back to his chair.
