The best thing about this new boss was that he supplied coffee at their meetings. Cassie was the sort of person who could not function without coffee. Of course she had a cup at home before departing for the Ministry, but she could always count on more waiting for her when she got to work. And she didn't even have to brew it herself. She headed right for the coffee pot when she entered the classroom for the refresher training. Only after pouring herself a cup did she turn to greet the others. Except it appeared that she was the first one to arrive, after their new department head of course.
"Good morning Mr. Delacroix," she greeted with a polite smile. She quietly chose a seat and made herself comfortable. She did understand the point of the training, to make sure everyone was on the same page. That did not mean she wasn't just a bit salty about being made to do a training about the job she'd been doing for many years now.
