Because she would still be getting her way in the sense that it was generally difficult in most cases to get Dash to dance with her voluntarily. She also didn't particularly mind the ridiculous smugness he'd had about her successful campaign, as long as he remembered that she had won thanks to her own suitability and thanks to the support of her all-female campaign team and because the voters had chosen her, and not because Dash had got it into his head to suggest that SHE run because he couldn't be bothered and yet wanted some way of reaping the perceived benefits.

Slytherins. Honestly.

She knew there was an obligation for her to mingle and talk to people but she wanted a moment with her husband first, so that she'd enjoy this event too and not have it be solely work. All of that would begin soon enough after all.
