No blushing or awkward scratching, he just nodded his head to emphasise his point. Because Azura was going to be good enough to get in, especially if she really wanted to get it. And considering the schools she mentioned, who wouldn't want to get in?
He couldn't help but awkwardly reach up to scratch his neck when she picked up on his discomfort at the idea of her leaving through, shrugging his shoulders slightly. "I'll just have to get better at sending owls when you do go," he gave her a sheepish grin at that comment. He was not going to allow her to drop off the face of the world after leaving.
Nope.
Not allowed.
He couldn't help but flush slightly red and laugh at her comment about Felicity being lucky to have an 'amazing guy' like him as a brother. The compliment from Azura definitely meant something. "I think you'd find my sister would disagree," he commented amused. Especially in a few years if she ever had a boyfriend.
Jasper's grin only grew as Azura took over singing, though as she stopped singing he finished playing, tapping his guitar for a moment in thought. Knowing that he desperately wanted to keep that smile on her face, he thought of the other songs she'd mentioned earlier. He didn't know how to play 'I Won't Give Up', so he instead went for 'Thinking out Loud', though he didn't start singing this time, instead waiting for her too. He'd rather listen to her sing, he'd decided at that moment.
After he'd finished playing he looked back up at her. "Any other songs that you like?"
He just hoped he'd be able to play whatever she requested. Azura smiled a bit as he spoke and she shrugged a little. She wasn't so sure she was good enough, there would always be people better than her, not to mention, what if the piano program was full? There were many factors in her making it into the schools. Being good was just one of them.
However despite her realistic approach to her chances she was very grateful to have so many people believing in her. She had been working so hard.. "Thanks Jazzy, I'm sure with everyone believing in me, I will get in. " She had to get into one at least, right?
She watched him as he reached up to scratch his neck and she smiled warmly at him, some things had changed and something's hadn't. "I have to stay for OWLS at least.. if not more. If I get into WADA, I'm sure I can work with them. " She said with a warm smile.. she wasn't leaving now.. these things had to be done early though.
Especially if she didn't get in! Then she would have time to figure out what to do with her life.
A grin crossed her face as he blushed a bit as her purple eyes looked into his green ones. "I'm sure she would agree with me. You are amazing and if she doesn't think so now, she will. " She said as she shifted a bit on the stands and moved her body towards him.
Another smile crossed her face as he stared to play Thinking Out Loud for her and she started to sing a few of the lines.. "When your legs don't work like they used to before
And I can't sweep you off of your feet
Will your mouth still remember the taste of my love
Will your eyes still smile from your cheeks."
She smiled as he stopped the song and she tilted her head to think.. "Well, 500 miles comes to mind. " She said with a bit of a tease in her voice her eyes sparkling.. "Do you know Yellow by Coldplay? " She asked him curiously. |
