It was strange to see Vlam leave with somebody else because Vlam was always with her, even during the lessons were Animal’s weren’t allowed! Even at those lessons she had smuggled her rat inside, deeply hidden in the pockets of her school uniform! But, it was good too to let Vlam go because he needed to play and she needed to finish her potion without being scared that her rat would fall into the cauldron.
Minutes later when the professor was back her face darkened, she had done something wrong, again! She always did SOMETHING wrong during this lesson, she wanted to do it good but up until today she still had not been able to finish a complete good potion. Sighing she nodded to the professor before speaking;
”I try finishing it and if it’s not working than I want to do it over, I’m not a Ravenclaw but I want to do it better than what I’m doing now” she spoke slowly while looking intently at her instructions, wondering where she had done something wrong and why she didn’t had realized it earlier.
Reading about the next thing to do she pulled her wand out of its holster before holding it above the cauldron, she made sure to make the right moving motion while speaking the spell out lout;
” garrula lingua.” Looking down at her still orange potion she waited for it to go back a simmer.
“Hmm, that wasn’t that bad…” she muttered softly to herself, still wondering where she had done something wrong because she really had no idea! It was just frustrating the first year old because she WANTED to be good at this lesson! Bleh!
Looking at her notes again she followed the instructions and added one levelled tablespoon of activated charcoal to the potion while working very careful to at last not make another fault now that she knew that she already had done something wrong. But while the minutes passed the potion turned more and more orange and she became a little sad, she really had destroyed her potion! With a now disappointed look in her eyes she stirred her now worthless potion three times counter-clockwise, noticing that the potion still wasn’t coloring back to the right color.
With a sigh she added a pinch of a ground bezoar, looking hopefully that the color would change but nothing happened, it still looked more orange than brown and that was NOT what she wanted to see.
