Lucy stared at the professor, tears welling in her eyes. They were supposed to know about this already? Did they have reading from last lesson that she missed?! She didn't think so....she always made sure to finish all her homework.

In very small writing on her parchment she wrote, as Professor Sokolov said they could, "It's old." Because that was what she though 'elder' meant, at least. And she really didn't know anything else. And she was very sorry she didn't finish her homework.

She took it upon herself to try and flip to the chapter in the book. She could at least skim what she missed while he was teaching it........right?
