As in, he'd probably never kiss her anywhere that harboured the possibility of someone suddenly happening upon them again. Clara was a punch first, process the situation after type of person and he was all for minimizing the risks.
He raised a brow as she added the last bit. The same for him? "You mean the words or the punches?" Though he supposed it would technically be the same thing. He meant it all. "I can't hit you." Or any girl, not according to his father anyway...which was one reason why she shouldn't either. He'd never be able to retaliate and it would only frustrate him. "And I'll use words--I always use words; you should know that very well." A lot of people should have, really. It got him into trouble often enough.
She blinked at him before letting out a sigh.
"I know you're fine, 'given the circumstances', I was just taking the initiative to say I was sorry. She could see he was fine, she's not blind Blaise! Sheesh. Although a closed door policy didn't sound like a bad idea at all. It was probably the best thing, mhm, that way she wouldn't be prone to hitting him again at least not right now anyway.
Really? Did he honestly think she was even talking about the punches? That was a moment for rolling her eyes & that's exactly what she did.
"You know I meant the words." Unless he really didn't know what - oh jeez now he was saying he couldn't hit her. Was he serious?
"Obviously! That'd be the biggest mistake of your life. Why would those words even leave your lips?" And she meant that. That shouldn't even have been a thought.
"That's what I was talking about. Use your words, just ugh never mind we both are going to use words." She let out a dramatic sigh feeling all flustered after that mental spiral of confusion & frustration before leaning her head against his shoulder.
