Henry is an exceptionally friendly and outgoing person, pretty much living by the motto, "A stranger is just a friend you haven't yet met." He can often be quite talkative and has no problem initiating conversation. He is very loyal to those he is closest to and he tends to believe the best in people, sometimes to the point of naivety. He is also fairly polite and respectful, but he does make sure to leave room for fun.

Nearly always full of energy, Henry often has a difficult time sitting still and cannot always focus for long on things that do not hold his attention. He can be very motivated, however, especially with something he is interested in and he sets his mind to accomplish it. He tends to be active, preferring to be outdoors and engaging in more physical activities, such as sports, rather than passive ones, like reading.

Henry is the second child and only son born to muggleborn parents, Matthew and Eloise Whittebrook. There is a 16 year age difference between him and his sister as just as his parents were certain they couldn't have any more children, Henry came along to surprise them. Though he was doted on by his much older sister, Henry felt somewhat lonely as a young child, eager to have friends his age as he didn't have any siblings close to his own age. His parents enrolled him into many extra-curricular activities to help him interact with peers, and he went to a muggle elementary school. Having muggleborn parents, his house had many muggle commodities as well as magical ones, giving him the feeling of having the best of both worlds.

Coming from a sports-centered family, it probably doesn't surprise those who know him best to know how much he is into athletics. Though bouncing balls were among his favorite toys from a young age, his sister had been a professional Quidditch player for years, someone he very much looks up to, and she taught him much about the sport. He attended many Quidditch camps over the years and with the assistance of his own focused training, recently plays for England's U17 summer league as chaser. His father also owns one of the professional Gobstones teams, and while he does enjoy that game too, it doesn't quite compare to Quidditch.

As Henry headed to Hogwarts his first year, he was certain he would be sorted into Hufflepuff just like his parents and his sister before him. He is a very proud badger, though he is happy to say he has friends in all the houses because they are all just as great. Though he probably wouldn't admit to many about how homesick he was at first, he soon found Hogwarts to be a great home away from home.
