It was the most beautiful, interesting hummingbird she'd ever seen. The use of metal-something she'd always thought of as hard and strong-to make something she thought of as delicate and graceful. "You got this for me?" He'd said as much but she felt the need to ask again, the act seeming rather strange to her. It wasn't even her birthday or anything. "Andrei, it must have cost you a fortune! It's so pretty." She tore her eyes away from the metallic creature for a moment to offer a soft, somewhat sheepish smile to the boy before her gaze returned to her gift. Then gingerly, she reached out to take the hummingbird from him, wanting a closer look.

Her smile only grew as she held the item in her palm, observing every detail. She loved it, if he couldn't tell.
