Henry followed Ariadne over to the table she had chosen, also taking the opportunity to start eating a little of his sundae as he walked. Yep, it was really good and the extra toppings really made the ice cream better. "Oh, yeah, me too," he nodded as he took the seat opposite her. "I mean, I guess there's a ton of people there, so it's not too unusual that we don't know everyone, But I thought you looked familiar at least," he added with a smile.
Slytherin.. right, okay. Henry nodded as he took another spoonful of his sundae. "That's cool. I have a few friends in Slytherin." Probably not as many in that house as in a couple of the others, but he figured it was a great house too. He took a few more bites of his sundae, trying to sample different flavors in each new bite. The fourteen year old was lost in his dessert for a moment, his eyes soon snapping up to Ariadne as she let out a loud noise of annoyance.
"Oh no!" His eyes grew wide as he realized that she dumped practically her entire sundae on her shirt. "Here, let me.. help.." Henry kind of looked at her, mentally stumbling on what to do, and he glanced around at the table. No napkins here? That was inconvenient. And it was too bad they couldn't do any magic. "Hold on.." Henry slid out of his seat and quickly maneuvered around some people to grab some napkins for her so she could clean herself up. It was just a moment before he was back with a handful for her. Yeah.. she should probably handle that spill herself and he held them out for her to take.
There was somewhat mild chaos then, as both of them fumbled to clean up the mess she'd suddenly made. Ariadne trashed what was left of her sundae into a nearby bin. What a LOSS. She had wanted that sundae, too. ALL of it. She saw him dart away then return moments later with a handful of napkins.
"Thanks, Henry. It's too bad we can't use magic right now," she said. Napkins would have to be the next best thing. In a few moments, she'd done the best clean up job she could.
Sighing, she smiled then sat across the table from him once again. He seemed sweet, and it was nice that he had noticed her from school. She would definitely start hanging out at Diagon Alley more during the summer. Hogsmeade, too, since as a third year, she could go there, too!
"So do you go to Hogsmeade weekends often?" she asked.
"This'll be my first year to be able to go." She shrugged.
"Not that it makes a huge difference, since I actually live there, but it'll be cool to be able to get a break during the school year and get out more." Hanging out in Hogsmeade seemed similar to hanging out here.
She nodded when he mentioned having friends in Slytherin house.
"That's cool. My whole family, just about, was in Slytherin. I have friends in all the houses, though." She looked down at her clothes, which were starting to dry in a sticky sort of way. What a way to introduce yourself to someone new...and a BOY at at that.
