Carrigan hesitated before uncrossing her arms. It was easier crossing them, because then she knew what to do with her hands. They always seemed so THERE when she met new people. All feet and hands and unruly curls of hair falling into her eyes. Did other people feel like this?

She opted to sit, just to be safe.

"Thanks. I mean... not because you're letting me sit, but... you know." She huffed out an impatient puff of air. "I'm Carrigan. Howard. You can call me either, honestly."
