12. Furnunculus

"Hand me the cobwebs," Lily said.
"Here ye' go," replied Pirate James.
Lily laughed. "Oh gosh I thought you were joking! You look rid- uh... fabulous. James. Juuuust fabulous."
"And what are you going as? A decorator?"
"Nope. I'm going as a mother," Lily declared with a big grin.
"So you're going as yourself?"

"Mmhm."
"Well you just wait until you see the finishing touches. I just have to wait for Sirius to get here."
"What are you both doing this time? You're not going to transform him into a parrot are you?"
James' face lit up. "Hey! There's an-"
"NO! You are not transforming Sirius OR yourself as a parrot."
"Oh come on Lily, that would just complete the picture!"
"NO!"

With the final decorations up, Lily and James were ready. It was a meagre affair, owing to the fact they couldn't have trick-or-treaters, nor could they leave.
"Furnunculus," Sirius and James said, pointing their wands at each other's faces.
They simultaneously roared with laughter and clutched at their stinging faces.
"MERLIN'S BEARD WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?" Lily screamed.
Her husband's face was COVERED in boils.
"We had to put the finishing touches on," James replied.
