She had felt more for him within a day than she ever had for Marco. She had never loved him. "I am never going to throw it away. I would have to be crazy to do that." Gabby was not crazy and she would never do to Archer what Rosemary had done to Jack. Even if she liked the woman, that was low. "That would be lovely. I'm not sure how long to wait until I can apparate with her though." That was something that she and Archer would have to sort out. Maybe she could ask Mama Burton or Alana about it.
Sweet tooth, right. She shook her head. "That's what Alana told me. I normally don't like this kind of food!" And here she was finished with all of her pastries. She really should get some more and head back to eat with Archer...
As much as Rose knew that Jack never would take her back, it still stung her deeply to hear it coming from Gabby. She recoiled slightly and her face possibly contorted in sadness and hurt. But she nodded. "I do want to see them. I'll be leaving soon to go back home. I know I'll have to fight to see them but I'm willing to do it.'' She'd do whatever it took to make things right with her kids at least.
Rose raised an eyebrow. It was quite obvious she was surprised. "Only a week? But then I think you weren't really happy in your marriage that's why you wasted no time in breaking it.'' Rose nodded. “You’re a lot more sensible than me. Make sure you never throw that relationship away. And I understand. I don’t think I would try it with any child below thirteen years.’’ Maybe she was being protective but this was just her opinion.
“Don’t worry. You’ll go back to eating your regular food after birth. It may take a while for you to get back in the habit but you’ll get there.’’ As for the baby, she’ll adore sweets. Rose was so sure. |
