It was why they were so obnoxious. But never mind that. James had done his part.

Besides, he had been wanting to get rid of the brownies from the moment he had seen them. He didn’t eat sugar. It was poison for the body.

Turning to the Headmaster, he forced a smile, ”Wonderful day for a party,” that was debatable. He had shown up early hadn’t he? Joy. Ah great, there was background music too. He hated this. Ultimate regret. Brownies points were not worth it.
The tall man was gently swaying to the beat of the music, his eyes looking at the doorway. He wondered who would be the first to arrive. It was only just a matter of minutes before someone walked through the door, and he had to admit that he didn't expect James to be the first person, other than himself, in the room. Though a smile was on his face, the man internally was perplexed. Was that a plate of brownies? Was the professor ill?

Sahnoun didn't question the Creatures professor though. He simply watched the man set the plate on the table as a few students entered the room. "Ahh, yes," he responded with a nod of his head. "Great day for a party indeed. Dank you for bringing da brownies, James. How very doughtful of you."

Plus, that voice of his.

Relaxing a bit, Hadley entered the room. "Hello, Headmaster. I was wondering if I could pick your brain about what animagus training was like?" Oh, yes. Hadley was being very cautious about her wording, conveying herself as just a student curious about the process and nothing more. She glanced around, and even from the inside it looked even more like this was a party set up. Did she miss a notice board announcement or something?
As he finished speaking to James, the headmaster felt a pair of eyes gazing at him. With a swift turn of his head, he saw the dark red hair of one of the younger Ravenclaws. "Good afternoon, Miss Denaker!" he responded as she approached. He couldn't help but notice that something was on her mind.

Ahh, Animagus training. The man's eyes twinkled as he recollected his fond memories at Uagadou.

"Da training is very intense, Miss Denaker. I won't lie about dat," he stated factually. "At Uagadou we start very early. It is one thing dat our school is known for and nearly everyone has mastered dat skill by generally deir fourth year. Here at Hogwarts, it's not very common. Only dose, from what I understand, that are gifted in Transfiguration and are willing to go through the strenuous process are considered. Professor Ichihara would be able to give you more guidance if you would like to know more."

Though he did give everyone there a head nod, surprisingly in sync with the music, right before he started his food pile.

It doesn't count if you share it, right?"
Catching sight of the Gryffindor and Slytherin prefects, not missing their greetings, the African directed his smile at them and waved, glad to see that they were already digging into the food. "Enjoy!"

Ahh, there was that intriguing astronomer. The man still hadn't forgotten his ... behaviour at the opening feast. Sahnoun, with the man in mind, made sure not to take his serval form for this occasion. "Live long and prosper, Airey," the headmaster greeted in return with a salute, even though he had no clue where that all came from.

He was about to ask, but the subject quickly changed. The professor was referring to the pet rock, yes? The one that he had given him at the start-of-term feast before running off? Sahnoun chuckled. "Zumberi is doing quite well. We've been anticipating a visit from you."

"Karibu, Miss Lynch," the man said in respond, watching her for a brief moment as she collected her food and was soon in conversation with Mr. Paton.

Headmaster Shanoun was a drifty man who thought off both students and staffs well being. Evidence of that was everywhere. Leo had to admit that having a visiting headmaster was actually a good thing.

It was nice to get out off the library and lay his thoughts and worries aside for a few hours. To just be and hang out with the students and his colleagues because he wanted to. The HoH pin only had a minor impact on his choice to attend the event.

Entering the Trophy Room where soft African music was playing in the background Leo smiled cheerily around the students and staff present. "Hello everyone!"

Spotting Headmaster Shanoun in a corner Leo called over with a glance in the senior boss man's direction. "Lovely initiative Headmaster. I hope plenty off students will turn up."
Not long after, the Hogwarts librarian made an appearance. The African greeted him with a warm smile and bright eyes. "Welcome, Leo! Thank you for coming." He bowed his head when the man stated that this was a lovely initiative. He thought so as well, hoping that there would be more faces arriving soon.

"Hello, Headmaster! Hello, Professor Draper, Professor Flamsteed, and Mr. Kitridge! I hope you are all doing well." They got smiles. She liked Draper more now that he was being nicer and if she ended up doing the Unicorn farm thing that Oliver had suggested she should speak to him about career options at some point. Speaking of Oliver, there he was. 'Hey," she said as she joined him and Echo. "How are you both doing?" She set about getting a plate and trying to figure out what she wanted to eat.
Then the first Hufflepuff entered the room and greeted all of the professors. Would more from her House be following closely behind? Sahnoun sure hoped so. "Hello to you, Miss Darcy. Help yourself to some food. Plenty to go around!"

"Greetings, Mr. Salander," the man replied after the boy spoke. Oh, someone liked his music? The headmaster beamed down at him. "I'm glad dat you like it. This song in particular is my personal favourite."

She turned her purple eyes from them and looked around the room.. She saw Esme and Echo talking to a boy she didn't know.. And then Haddie talking to Tenacious. She waved at them all.. wondering who she should go talk too.. She didn't really know any of the older kids..
Sahnoun caught sight of Azura the moment she walked through the doorway. He noticed that she had brought with her a plate. Was it a sweet? It would balance out all of the healthy food he had set up...

"Good day, Miss Kennedy!" he greeted her cheerfully. To him she appeared to be doing much better now, which pleased him greatly. "And thank you for bringing the cookies. Very thoughtful of you indeed."

Also, she just realized that she was the only female staff here. Maybe if there was no student here, this could be an all-gentlemen's event and she was crashing it.
The last person to catch his eye was the Divination professor. The headmaster nodded his head at her in return before saying, "Welcome, Sora! Feel free to grab some food to eat. A lot of healthy snacks ... and there have been a few sweet additions courtesy of James and Miss Kennedy." He gave another nod of his head before he went to join the food line himself.
