Mariel smiled wider at her husband. Compliments from him never got old and she was glad that he wanted to dance with her. Not that she had any doubt that he would. She was just glad that they were permitted to bring guests this year. Though she would have either way if she wanted to.

"Why, thank you," she said, stopping at the center of the dance floor. Sure, there were a few other people there, some she recognized, and Mercedes got an acknowledging smile. "You look quite handsome yourself." He always did though, but she especially appreciated him in a suit. Slipping an arm around his neck, she moved herself closer to him as she put her other hand in his to dance with him. "Yes, I'm glad it's back to a more sophisticated event." She wasn't a fan of the training sessions that they had been in the past, but at least with those she could make a brief appearance before sneaking out if she couldn't enjoy attending a party with her husband.
