Blaise talking to him, and asking him things, actually gave Jaemin the chance to focus on something else, which was helpful. The little lump of anger in the small twelve year old's stomach cooled just a bit, and he set down one of the cabbages to go about cutting it.

Unfortunately, it seemed the professor wasn't done prodding at open wounds. Jaemin did not look up at her as she spoke, still leaned over the cutting he'd been doing, but the small boy had immediately frozen upon her threat, eyes going wide as that anger boiled right back up. He stayed still as stone throughout her entire whine about him being rude by not being happy about her not saying his name right, the only movement being the ever so slight tremble in his hands as he did his best to keep his anger in check and his eyes fixed on the cabbage he'd just cut in half and had been working to cut in fourths.

Blaise's sudden reappearance at his side broke that focus and the small boy's head snapped up, teeth very clearly clenched inside his closed mouth and a look of barely controlled, rather pained anger very obvious on his face as he looked at the Gryffindor. It wasn't an expression meant for him, obviously, but the Slytherin knew that if he looked at that professor again, with her condescending 'you should be nicer to people who upset you'-ness, he would definitely end up in detention, simply for having a name that wasn't considered 'normal' in this part of the world.

He so, so, so wished that Moxley had never left.

"Kimchi is mostly cabbage, though it's napa cabbage instead of these," he managed after a good long moment, his anger still very evident in his voice. He would just ignore Professor Stewart's entire existence. Hopefully she wouldn't find that disrespectful too. "There are other vegetables too, like green onions and stuff. And squid too. And it ferments in spicy kimchi paste."

Hands still shaking, he slammed the knife down on the cabbage again to finish cutting it up. If there was ever a good time to be chopping stuff up as an outlet for anger, now was it. Hopefully his cutting wasn't loud enough to be considered disrespectful.
