Unfortunately, Ethan's neglected upbringing has led him to become what one would call a socio-phobic. He wishes for nothing more than to make genuine friends but he becomes so intimated by strangers that he begins to stutter uncontrollably or he begins to hyperventilate. In addition to this, his phobia of people has also caused him to be rather closed off even to those he feels comfortable to talk to. His life, background and interests remain rather private which is a further way he protects himself from what he believe may lead to public humiliation. He also fears that people will abandon him due to this humiliation, yet ironically by secluding himself he feels just as isolated. His fear of people is a working progress, and, hopefully, soon he shall be capable of overcoming it.

His strengths lie within his logical capabilities. Fortunately, he is able to understand concepts rather quickly but he is also able to take a philosophical approach of many everyday situations. This portrays how he likes to puzzle ideologies together or challenge himself with intriguing questions. Although one should note that his clever side is extremely internal and on the outer appearance he may seem dumb-witted, especially, due to his stuttering.

In all honesty, he has a heart of gold and wants to care for the humanity of the world. He is just struggling to find a voice as to how.
