Charms Lesson 1 Activity - Post 1 ♥s her SS family | Wifey is MINE | Naughty Niffler | ❄ Bookish & Cat-Approved ❄ | Soodley ♥ The first place that Esme decided to create a bit of artwork was the corridor by the kitchens. This was a place near the entrance of her common room as well as the kitchens, so that meant that it would be easy for a lot of people to see. For a moment she had contemplated working in the kitchen itself but she decided in the end that it might bother the house elves - though of course they would never object to her presence.
Staring at the section of wall in front of her, she contemplated what she wanted to create that would utilize what Professor Primeaux had taught them.
For a moment she had contemplated creating a badger since it was her House animal and she was near the Hufflepuff entrance... but that was to be expected, wasn't it? Wouldn't it be better for her to create something more unexpected? Esme wanted to be creative and part of that was doing something outside of the box. She was going to create a different image and something happy while she was at it. The first thing that came to mind was a puppy because they were cute and made a lot of people happy. Plus she - like a lot of people - loved dogs.
Carefully she worked to trace an image of a small dog on the wall. Esme was going off of what Lucy had looked like when she was a puppy because it was the first image to come to her head and a great basis to go off of. The whole time she was working she thought of the colour black because it seemed like a good outline to use for an animal as opposed to say blue or red. "Figura puppy," she said clearly and was very pleased with the results that she had gotten. Now she needed to colour in the animal and the first colour that came to her mind was brown as it was a common one for dogs. "Colovaria," she said as she pointed her wand in the center of the puppy. Now the main body of it was brown. The only part left for her to do was colour in the little bit of tongue that was hanging out of the puppy's mouth. For that she thought of the colour pink. "Colovaria."
She was finished creating her first mural, but Esme had the desire to animate her artwork so that it had more character. Carefully she traced the tail with her wand. "Animatae." Now it wagged. Smiling, she repeated the process with the tongue so that it moved as well.
