Mariel skimmed the last paragraph on the parchment before looking up to see who was entering her office when the door opened. Flowers? Well, that was a nice surprise.

She watched the delivery person a moment as he walked further into the room, her eyes narrowing slightly as she looked him over curiously. There was something oddly familiar about him, and a little unusual about the entire situation. And then he spoke. Yes, maybe she was altogether too familiar.

"On the desk will be just fine, thank you." She smirked lightly as she watched him, waiting expectantly to put the flowers down and show his face.
