Seeing as it was a Herbology day, Daxton had been sure to take a daily allergy potion the very morning of the scheduled class. Plants absolutely did his head in, in the most literal sense that everything about them seemed to attack his sinuses. He was often dubious that the potion would have any effect at all, but on stepping into the Greenhouse, he found that it was working just fine today.
The contents of the greenhouse, however, got a very suspicious look from Daxton, and he eyed the scores of rose bushes that had taken over the room. Frowning slightly, he stepped further into the room and took a seat as close to the door as he could possibly get, pushing the teacup far away from himself and totally ignoring the sign on the board.
Daxton Prince was no idiot. He was not about to drink anything that he had not prepared, or at least seen be prepared before his very eyes. The opportunity for poisoning was just too great, and when you had a lot of enemies, you had to be careful.
Even as he sat in his seat, not wearing any school robes and with the boots on his feet (that he had reluctantly worn) loosely laced and easy to evacuate, Daxton remained as aware and alert as ever. The professor was not here yet, which meant a dramatic (read: loud and startling) entry was likely to occur. And in any case, one should always be alert and ready for any potential danger or threat.
