Hogwarts RPG Name: Andromeda Renzler-Denaker Gryffindor First Year | Fluttery Pegasi SPOILER!!: Rooney-boy & Mossy Quote:

But he raised it again when he addressed the other Ravenclaw from a standing point. "Miss Haddie, put my robes on. Please?" He was already removing his Prefect badge and attaching it to his jumper. "I'm sure we can find you a way to feel Gryffindor later." He'd ask Liv and Char for Gryffindor things, maybe. Score Haddie an in to their common room if he could. Something that would get her to ACTUALLY wear the uniform she needed to. OR the colours of her house.
No way was this girl a Ravenclaw at heart.
She was a prime example of biting off your nose to spite your face. Quote:

The more Ravenclaw one of these two girls focused the icy blue eyes on the other and looked at her with the same cold and cool look she had taken since the end of the last term.
Oooooooh, Haddie thought that she cared? The girl snorted a little. No, she was done caring about collective house effort. Now, there was only one thing she wanted: her and only her own success. In fact, she wanted the others to fail so that she could shine... and Haddie was one of the sure-failures. Only after proving herself to every single professor did Katherine want a house cup glory - and only if she was the biggest contributor.
So, to answer to the question, she lazily said "An A." Meaning, she didn't care, and not caring wasn't on the scale Haddie provided, so Katherine offered a whole different one. The question was, would Haddie be able to understand this?
But anyway, she didn't have to think much, because Loo-ney came to ...give his robes to Haddie. Well, of course. He must have felt embarrassed for the girl by himself - if Katherine was a little bit better person, she would pity her too. Though... was that a badge? She frowned only a little until she made sure it indeed was. She wondered what happened to Thornton, but then it'd be rude to ask that, so she said "Congratulations, Bronwyn." She even smiled. So, from now on, she couldn't call him Looney, even in her mind, in case it did escape her mouth.
What put him forward to get the badge..? That signature Denaker defiance set in instantly. Her jaw set, ready to steadfastly deny all attempts to be put into anyone's robes but her own. Why should she hide the fact she wasn't truly a Ravenclaw? She knew it. Mossy knew it. Rooney knew it. So why did she need to play games and hide it? No, she was not going to put on Mr. Prefect's robes. Congrats on that, by the way.
But then, as quickly as the defiance set in, it melted away again, like water in sieve. The girl, in some part and some way, broke over the summer. Funny thing; the moment you realize you're broken. Not an easy moment either, but she did a decent job at hiding the glistening in her eyes. Mostly by closing them. Hadley nodded and stood up as she took the offered robes and slipped them on. They weren't the best fit as Roo was 3 inches taller than her, at least, and a different body type altogether, but they weren't falling off either. "Congrats," she said, nodding to the badge as she sat back down. What happened to Thornton though?
And back to Mossy. An A? Hadley gave the other girl a slightly quizzical look, and while she didn't quite grasp the meaning of the answer, the look had more to do with Mossy herself than it did the answer. Mossy wasn't Mossy anymore. It was almost like the girl was an empty shell of herself or something. Bland and lifeless. A robot programmed to be Mossy, but not. Where was that spark she'd seen in the girl last year?
This wouldn't do. "Don't worry, Moss." Hadley patted the girl's shoulder reassuringly. "Lots of people misplace their personality. I'll help you find it though. You can count on me." A big reassuring grin helped drive home the point.
