Post Eddie Redmayne reveals his favorite Harry Potter spells, Fantastic Beasts films

While promoting Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them at CinemaCon this week, Eddie Redmayne chatted a bit about the new trailer for the feature, which debuted over the weekend, as well as some of his favorite spells. That can be viewed below.

Quote:
How much fun was it to take this on?
Eddie Redmayne:
It was an exciting amount of fun. From the moment I read the script, J.K. Rowling has done something so unique. It has so many different genres - it's kind of dark, funny and light, emotional, and all of these things, that I just found it the most riveting read. I hope that if could keep true to her script, then we're OK.

Were you a big Harry Potter fan before this?
Eddie:
As a kid, I used to read the books, and I used to watch the films when they came out. It began a ritual. I saw the [Fantastic Beasts] trailer the other day and it had the theme music, and a little part of me was having a disco inside.

Have you visited the Wizarding World of Harry Potter?
Eddie:
You know, I haven't, no. I haven't gone that far yet, but it just opened in Los Angeles, so maybe next time. I've been to the one in London though, it's great, Leavesden.

What's your favorite magical element?
Eddie:
I love the every day stuff. There's actually a moment in the trailer where the girls just lay the table with their wands, and I found that kind of exciting. You know, the banal stuff that's kind of amazing.
Eddie, along with Fantastic Beasts' costars Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol and Colin Farrell, introduced a longer preview of the feature at CinemaCon on Tuesday, which, according to reports, had a new interview with author J.K. Rowling and short new extended clips. The author was quoted as saying that Fantastic Beasts was the post-Harry Potter project within the Wizarding World she was most excited to write about.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them's first installment hits theaters and IMAX in November.
