How much fun was it to take this on?
Eddie Redmayne: It was an exciting amount of fun. From the moment I read the script, J.K. Rowling has done something so unique. It has so many different genres - it's kind of dark, funny and light, emotional, and all of these things, that I just found it the most riveting read. I hope that if could keep true to her script, then we're OK.

Were you a big Harry Potter fan before this?
Eddie: As a kid, I used to read the books, and I used to watch the films when they came out. It began a ritual. I saw the [Fantastic Beasts] trailer the other day and it had the theme music, and a little part of me was having a disco inside.

Have you visited the Wizarding World of Harry Potter?
Eddie: You know, I haven't, no. I haven't gone that far yet, but it just opened in Los Angeles, so maybe next time. I've been to the one in London though, it's great, Leavesden.

What's your favorite magical element?
Eddie: I love the every day stuff. There's actually a moment in the trailer where the girls just lay the table with their wands, and I found that kind of exciting. You know, the banal stuff that's kind of amazing.
