Maybe she should have tried the sleep thing instead of the catching up thing. Not that she didn't want her friend to know, but she didn't want her concerned knowing she was so busy as well.

"Just a bit stressed lately. With everything going on here and.." she took a few deep breaths and looked in away in the distance thinking about what she was going to say. "My father is in St. Mungos, he has been ill and it's not seeming like he's getting any better." She tried to not break down, she had things to do so there was just no time, but her father being ill was very much weighing on her mind.

"I have, but just one other time. They are pretty comfortable and it's a nice place to duck into and read a little on a lunch break or a few minute meltdown." Like she was having today obviously. "It's never too busy and you can have all the privacy in the world once in the pod. It was a pretty good idea if used appropriately." She listened to Mariel talk about the event and nodded. "I had a concerning conversation in the fitness room the other day with someone on level five. She said her job was to get all the equipment and vendors for the event. It through me, because why on earth would Level 5 be getting equipment when we are the Quidditch division? Do they not think I can handle this?" She never felt she had support from the DH when she was running, but so was his wife, but maybe it was more then just his wife running why he didn't want her in the position.

Trying to get a little more comfortable in one of the pods, Mariel turned to look at Victoria. She knew something was bothering her friend, but she hoped that it was nothing work-related because she would feel at least partially responsible. But if it was that, it was also likely an easy fix. And even though that seemed like it was part of her issues, it wasn't all and Mariel frowned a little in concern.

"Oh, I'm sorry to hear that." She had gone through the same issues with her own father years ago, right around the time she started at the Ministry. In fact, it was why she moved back here from New Zealand and got a job at the Ministry. Unfortunately, the healers there were unable to do much for him either. "I hope they are able to do something. And if you need anything at all from me, please let me know. If you need some time off or me to watch the girls, I'd be happy to make that happen."

Hmm, she supposed these relaxation pods weren't too bad. They were rather comfortable, though she couldn't see someone actually taking a nap in one. But she did like the privacy idea and had a few ideas running through her head when she looked back at Victoria. "Equipment? No, that does not make sense at all and clearly someone is misinformed. They are supposed to help with this, not do our jobs. I will talk to Gidyun and straighten things out." Ugh. She was growing annoyed now. Maybe her department should have handled this on their own as they had organized events in the past. With as many of them working on this, if they weren't all on the same page it was going to be a bumbling mess. And she was not about to take the blame for that, because that would be what it came down to.
