The sudden warmth didn't take much explanation. Char had probably cast that hot air charm and he was probably meant to deflect, dodge or Merlin knew what but all he could do was stand there wondering how it was possibly for her to keep so upbeat and bouncing in the face of these circumstances. It was all he could do to not throw his wand across the room and walk out. Sure, she could still cast at him and it would be the same chances as if he had his wand, but no wand meant he was disarmed and incapable of continuing the duel.

Only problem was that it was probably against the dueling club rules he'd never bothered to read and the boy didn't fancy getting some points lost or something because of his lack of enthusiasm.

There was an internal sort of groan when Char deflected his spell back at him. It was no longer her problem but HIS. Now HE had to figure out what to do about it and all he wanted to do was run--which is exactly what he did. Just a few paces, just enough to keep him from that one spell tha--

Blaise continued flashing at his hand until the majority of the pain subsided but he would be damned if he picked up his wand again.

Where was that bloody white flag when you needed it?????????
