It's just a quick flick towards the electronic you want. We have some very good wizarding stations you might be able to get here." He headed closer and pulled out his wand doing the movements and the radio turned on. The girl made a face at the offer of tea, that quite clearly showed she wasn't a fan. She realized it and gave the professor an embarrassed look. "Sorry," she said. A moment later she shook her head. "I'm good. But thank you." Now would be a good time to change the topic... "There are wizarding stations?" She was surprised, flabbergasted even. Sure, once you thought about it, it made sense, but the idea was so far out of the norm for what she's seen of the Wizarding World that such a thought would have never even tried to grace her mind. Haddie made a face that could only be described as impressed nonchalant --talented girl there-- and shrugged. Radio Free Wizardry was something she could explore later, on her own time.
Radio Free Wizardry would be a great station name...maybe next year she should try to start an underground radio station at Hogwarts. Assuming she got to come back. "Ludo." Hadley nodded and pulled out Kira, her wand. She still loved how well the silver and gold inlaid eagles and spirals looked against jet black wood. Mr. Banner at Ollivander's had done a great job. She set the mp3 player down on Professor Primeaux's desk and aimed her wand. "Ludo!" She gave the wand a flick at the mp3 player. It didn't look any different, but then again, was it supposed to? Haddie picked the device up and turned it on. Nothing.
She couldn't say she was surprised. Ever since she came back from break her ability to cast spells was...distorted? She guessed that would be the best word for it. Maybe. Perhaps adding the silver and gold inlay to Kira had altered her characteristics, or perhaps it was Haddie who had changed. The girl had a sneaking suspicion it was her, not her wand, that was behind it. She set the music player down and tried again. "Picture it in your head," she whispered to herself and was still for a moment. "Ludo!" She flicked the wand at the mp3 player and --moment of truth-- picked the device up and the screen lit up! Haddie's face lit up brighter though. "It worked! Thank you, Professor!"
