He couldn't remember the last time someone had asked him that question... Jaemin tilted his head and wrinkled his nose, immediately repeating the same answer he always gave. This time, however, since it was a professor... he gave a little more. "Yes and no... dad is a wizard, but mom is a Muggle. They weren't sure what I would be. And dad taught me some stuff about magic, but not much cause of mom."

They had wanted balance, they said, and for Jay to not get confused in his Muggle classes. After all... that sort of stuff had gotten him in trouble in classes when he was just starting in school. It had just been easier for everyone, to keep things back. He hadn't been happy about it, especially when they'd discussed the idea of him not getting a letter, but he was here, so none of that mattered anymore. All the basic stuff his dad had taught him was being built upon now, and it made the small boy happy.

"I have a lot of stuff to catch up on, but I'm trying really hard to do it!" He grinned at the professor, nodding happily. "It's neat to see how stuff goes with the Muggle stuff I learned in school before."
