It would be nice to see new faces around the office. Hopefully competent, eager, employees of course. She entered the meeting with a nice cup of coffee in her hand. A vanilla mocha, actually. A necessity.

"Good morning," she greeted the room as a whole when she entered. Gid got a nod as did the other employees that she already knew. But most of them were unfamiliar faces. They got a warm smile. "I'm Cassandra. Immigration officer and liason to the press." What had they been talking about before she entered the room? Cassie took her seat and tried to catch up. Nothing important, she hoped. Not official business, but it may be interesting nonetheless.

"Good morning" he said smiling at Cassie as she entered the room and introduced herself. She knew that Cassie had a lot of good ideas, some that he had talked to her about that he'd been discussing with another newer employee even.

After helping herself to a cup of tea, she took a seat at the far end of the table. As she adjusted her folder neatly in front of her, she couldn't help overhearing bits and pieces of the conversation taking place. A hag for a professor? Poisoned potion ingredients? The whole thing sounded...unsettling. She was glad her nieces and nephews were safe back home in Denmark and too young to attend Wizarding school! "please pardon my ignorance, sir," she said, turning to the gentleman who she'd heard talking about his son (Ryden), "but does this sort of thing normally happen at Hogwarts?"

He beamed as another new employee arrived "Morning Katja" he said with a smile. He shook his head at her words, though and let Ryden answer. No this certainly wasn't the typical thing to have happen. Though...the unusual part with the spiders two years ago was unsettling as well. He really wondered what all happened there at the school quite often, and now this?

"The same thing that you're doing here Sky....working." Sure it wasn't his department but it was one ministry working together for the greater good. They weren't confined to one singular department.

The auror nodded towards Gideon and shook his head. He barely ever even sat when he was having meetings in his department so he wasn't about to come in here and relax.

"No thank you Gideon. I won't be long. I'll stand thanks."

Each employee that joined after got a silent nod from him. Right..he was ready for this thing to begin.

He nodded not arguing, if he wished to stand it was his choice.

The man kept his silence as he mulled over things, wondering why the bloody hell those members of the Hogwarts board allowed such thing to happen. Were the members of the board poisoned by somebody so that a hag could infiltrate the school? “Something is not right there.” He said, addressing to the woman, Michele, in front of him, “I don’t think there has been an intervention until the hag could no longer control herself. What were the professors doing? There was no action from the Interim Headmistress, right until our children were out there in the cold ready to be turned into stew.” Ryden let out an exasperated sigh, and did not notice the others arriving. “I’m pretty sure the other wizarding schools have their own issues as well, but this hiring of a hag as a teacher is way beyond stupid...”

Turning his attention now to the Department Head, Ryden nodded. “No casualties at least, Gid,” According to his son’s letter that is, unless of course Jace decided to omit a few, but more important details. “But the Ministry should do something to prevent this tampering of ingredients to happen again.” Ryden picked up the letter again and shook his head, “Could you imagine the damage it would have brought if the School Healer’s potions were tampered with?” The Wizarding Healers Organization will not be happy about it one bit. “Maybe you should send our Quality Control Officers to the local Apothecary? We have to make sure that our local potion ingredients are supplied and shipped properly.” Hopefully the shopkeepers aren’t getting their supplies from the Black Market. “I will try and make an appointment with the Hag Specialist at the Magical Creatures Department too.” Ryden opened his journal and added that to his agenda for the day. He needed answers on how to handle a hag, just in case, hopefully the specialist is nowhere near like a hag.

Setting his pen down and closing his journal for the meantime, Ryden turned to another newcomer, and gave her a somewhat pleasant smile. “I believe so, yes. It is an old bastion of magic, history, and adventure. I suppose it is just living up to its name.” He need not mention the accidental deaths during his last year, no? “I’m Ryden Reed, the new Foreign Relations Officer. It is my pleasure to meet you Consul Westergaard.” He said inclining his head to the woman.

And as he looked around the table, he was sort of surprised to see how many people have arrived. “Good morning everyone. I’m truly sorry to dampen the day’s mood with such news. I’m Ryden Reed. New Foreign Relations Officer.” He smiled at the members of the DIMC. Merlin, he did not mean for everyone to hear his concern.

He nodded at Ryden's comment about other schools "That I'm sure of as well. I mean no school is completely drama free. And wizarding schools are definitely no exception to that rule. But this seems to be a bit extreme. A hag, why in merlin's name the board would suggest using a hag as a professor. They can't be that desperate for staff can they?" He had a few names he'd put forth if they needed staff members! "No kidding! St. Mungo's has enough to deal with. They don't need to have the issue of poisonings within Hogwarts as well. At least they were able to find a cure or it wore off. Does your nephew say?" he asked Ryden.

He shook his head at his apology. This was clearly something that needed looking into!

What were those in charge of the school doing, allowing so many horrible things to have happened?! Merlin forbid, children had been at the threat of being made into stew before anyone had reacted?!

"That is horrid," the woman whispered, looking at Ryden with widened eyes. Had she any family in this country, she would certainly have been owling them to inquire about any plans to send her nieces and nephews to Hogwarts. Thankfully they were all too young and Beauxbatons, much closer to them, was obviously preferred. "I do hope your son and all of his friends are well after all of this..."

No casualties, after all, didn't mean there was no damage.

She realised then that she hadn't given her name to any of the others in the room. With the exception of Gid, she hadn't managed to make her way around to any of them during orientation, and so the names were all welcomed and committed to memory immediately. Michele sat up a little straighter in her seat and mustered a smile for the room despite the current conversation.

"It is a pleasure to meet you all," she said softly, looking from person to person even if they weren't looking at her (even the person who didn't seem to belong to their department). "My name is Michele Malkin, and I am a member of the Wizarding Secretariat."

Her job title felt a bit clunky around her accent. Maybe it was because it had been so long since she had been anything but a 'personal assistant'.

He agreed though with this. It was horrid. To think that those kids at the school now had to fear the chance of being poisoned in the school?

Finding his seat that he normally sat in taken he dropped a stack of papers he had been caring on the table and sat down with a sigh.

There were people here he didn't know and he looked like a mess. Awesome division head he was. Maybe he could pass blame onto the kiddos and not just the fact that he had overslept. Hmmm.

Which is right now, when everyone has intro'd themselves and shared their life stories. Or stories about other people, which in turn tells something of themselves. Chit chat is such a glorious thing innit?

She slinked her way into a seat and rested her chin on her smooth, perfectly manicured hand. And she smiled that silent dark smile. Oh and to the Department Head, she gave a wink.

Yes everyone, please continue. Such interesting repartee.

Phew! "Good day Mr. Yenoran," Emily smiled formally to her new boss as well as to some of the other employees before walking to sit down on an empty chair. The thirty five year old witch was wearing a formal blue suite with a tie and her stark black hair was tied in a bun.

She listened to her fellow coworkers discuss things as she waited for the meeting to begin. Did someone just mention a hag?

He greeted the three that entered soon after and smiled gently at each of the newcomers. "Good morning all, let's go ahead and get started, I think most of us are here now, it looks like." he said counting those around the table. "A few of you have made introductions, how about the rest of you introduce yourselves as well? I'm Gidyun Yenorin, as you all know, but please feel free to call me Gidyun or Gid." he said brightly, unconcerned about the unneccessary stuffiness of sir's and ma'ams.
