And he was a little..... scared? Was that the right word? Because if they were fighting like this now, Merlin only know what they would be like with a bit more years of training under their belt.
When it was time, the man cast a magical shield between the two Gryffindors. Miss Kettleburn's Stinging Hex and Hot Air Charm dissipated, which was then followed up by a look from the Professor that suggested that the girl had been way too loud. Merlin, please let him keep his eardrums by the end of the school year, okay? He kind of needed them.
"Excellent dueling, Miss Burton, Miss Kettleburn," he said, stepping out of the shadows and making his way towards the two Gryffindors, "I have to say, that was some pretty impressive spellwork between the two of you." And with that, he used a Finite Incantatem to get rid of any spells that were lingering around. Which hopefully meant no more bogies being sprayed around, yes?
"With all of that said, I can announce that the winner is......." Slight dramatic pause. "....... Miss Kettleburn and her flying boogers. Congratulations! And very well done, Miss Burton."
