"Carpe Retractum!" Kitty tried again, snapping her wand back and forth as she had done last time. This time she didn't let go until after the golden thread had vanished below the water and was starting to come up. "I got something!" A giant fish about the size of her head flew out of the lake and landed a few inches from her feet.
"EEK!" Kitty jumped backwards in surprise as it flapped around in the ground in front of her. Thankfully they were so close to the water that the fish was able to splash back inside and swim safely to deeper water. |
