She shrugged and gave Professor Primeaux a Well, I tried, look. "Peeves," she offered. "If you leave Professor Primeaux alone so I can meet with him, I'll help you cause trouble somewhere else later." How did that sound? She was doubtful the poltergeist would take the offer, but you never know, it might work. Getting into trouble was always more fun with someone else joining in.

BIG annoyance!
"It is NOT a party. Peeves was just leaving." Pulling his wand he cleaned off his portraits of his family first. That was just unacceptable. Looking at the girl as she spoke again he gave her a look, "No you will not or you will find yourself in detention." No one should help this blasted thing with any of his pranks. I will have order in this office or I will have to resort to something you will not like. He pointed his wand at peeves, he remembered that fun little charm didn't he?
It was harder to do much redecorating when there were people in the way. People who were acting like such party poopers. Even the girl thought she could bargain with him. HA!
"Oh, I'm always up for fun!" he cackled.
"But I'm not going anywhere yet!" Not when he hadn't yet seen if Professor Grumpy Pants had one of those bulging veins in his head like Mr. Librarian. Hmm? Peeves flew a little closer to Primeaux's face, looking all around as if he were carefully inspecting. No bulging vein yet? Boo!
Not a party?? NOT A PARTY?!?
"Peeves can change that!" He dug around in his pocket. Ooh, there was some glitter and confetti deep down and he threw handfuls around the office as he flew around, cackling with glee.
"Your office looks so much more festive now!" It was a start, okay?! But what they really needed was some music.....
