Personality: Growing up in a very large family, Cora has always wanted to be different. From a young age, she was always trying to be independent, wanting to do things without her parents' help. Sometimes she was allowed too, but other times she was scolded for back talking her parents (which she did often). She was able to grow out of it after awhile, learning when and how it was actually appropriate to speak and when and how it wasn't, though her restrictions on herself lessened once she started going to Salem. She is very determined to get something when she really wants it, and often will use almost any means to get what she wants ('almost' because she would never do something illegal or really wrong). Her typically optimistic outlook on life also enable her determination, as she always believes things will work out for her as long as she keeps trying. She's not blindly optimistic, however, and she can be incredibly pessimistic and cold when personal things get too overwhelming. In addition, though she is really independent, she is willing to work with a team so long as the other people don't annoy her for any reason. If they do, she will try to do everything herself because she sees them as incompetent.

Background: Cora was born in 2058, the third child of Vincent and Stella Greenwell, in London, England. She lived there with her family until they decided to move to the United States in 2065. There, they continue to live to this day. She has seven siblings, four brothers and three sisters. Instead of going to a small local magic school like most of her other magic siblings, she convinced her parents to let her go to Salem Witches Institute after much persuasion, and spent her first seven years of magical education there. Ever since the beginning of her first year, she loved casting all kinds of spells and spent a lot of her spare time practicing them outside of class. Potions, though not as enjoyable as spell casting, was also one of her favorites, so occasionally she would also spend extra time in the school's potion lab practicing. What little time she had leftover she spent socializing through the very popular American magic sport - Quodpot. She merely watched it her first year, tried out but didn't make the team in her second year, and tried out again and successfully made the team in her third year. Most of the time she was just a reserve, with only a handful games that she was actually put in for, and she loved it regardless.

After graduating from Salem, she managed to get a simple job as a waitress in a restaurant in the city while she attended the Wizarding University campus there. She eagerly studied in the area of Experimental Magic and Research and decided after a two year degree, she wanted to further her independence and move to England once again and find work there. She spent about 6 years there, working in the Accidents and Catastrophes department, before she decided she needed a change of scenery.

She moved to France in 2085 and transferred to the A&C department in the French Ministry. There, she met Mathys Travere, who she became quite fond of, and the two son started dating. It did not last very long, however, as they broke up after an incident he caused that shattered her trust in him.

Then, not long after that, Cora discovered that she was pregnant. Not wanting to raise a child alone, she moved back to her parents’ place in the States, and there she gave birth to a girl, who she named Yasmina Renée. However, the feelings of being overwhelmed and of not knowing who she was anymore had built over the course of Cora’s pregnancy and continued even after her daughter was born, and so, a few weeks later, she left Yasmina with her parents without telling them where she was going or for how long.

She traveled around the States for about a year, never staying in one place for too long, until she finally felt ready to return to her family. She also finally applied for a job as a Charms Researcher at a private organization. She worked there for about a year but didn’t enjoy the work environment and atmosphere, so she decided it was time for a change again. She moved back to the UK with Yasmina, intending to re-apply at the Ministry since it had been her favorite place to work thus far.
