Bastien probably could have gotten away with skipping this class if he were so inclined, considering how this was one of his best subjects, but skipping classes meant not getting caught by professors and trying to fill his time with some other tedious task. It was easier just to come to class.
It helped that the professor was alright.
He was quiet for all of the lesson so far up until it came time to pick a partner for it. No way he was going to risk loosing his awesome seat near the front, Bast would just let someone come to him.
