How fun.

Dragging her feet, Suri slouched as she walked into the arena, her bag hanging off one shoulder and a very grumpy expression on her face. She'd wanted to be in this club when she'd sent her permission slip home, but that all changed when it had come back signed WRONG. She'd tried sending at LEAST five angry letters, but nothing had helped. APPARENTLY, mum didn't think she was talented enough to be in the tournament. She'd said something about "lack of control over wand" and "too competitive" and "rude". Which was SO. NOT. FAIR. UGH.

So, now she was FORCED to be here and learn about dueling but she couldn't actually duel. Benzi had said she needed to uphold the Rider name but she couldn't DO that if she WASN'T ALLOWED TO BE IN THE TOURNAMENT. Sure, he'd also said the challenges were fun but it was totally not the same thing and she was angry and grumpy and she was going to PROTEST the ENTIRE TIME.

Not looking at the professor at all - clearly it was his fault too, somehow - Suri plopped down on a cushion towards the back and hugged her knees to her chest. The twelve year old eyed the excited students with distaste and promptly decided that dueling club was for nerds anyway, and they were all beneath her. Curling her lip, she sighed and waiting for the club to start.

Thing was, Amur wasn't entirely sure about this whole dueling club. When the annoucement had first come, she'd jumped at the opportunity, thinking that she'd be awesome and impossible to defeat. When the meeting had come, she remembered that she wasn't particularly skilled in dueling and her fighting style might have been a bit more tooth-and-nail than decorum and bows. It, might be a problem.

Not to mention, rules in fighting? That seemed a bit....pointless. It wasn't like dark wizards followed any rules.

Due to the uncertainty in her little head, Amur wanted to stay closer to the door and relatively unnoticed. So, she had taken up a seat beside a rather glum looking firstie, and pulled one knee up to her chest, resting her chin on it in almost mirror impression of the girl beside her.

Professor Hirsch's first question was curious, as were her classmates answers. Which spell did she use most often and have on hand most often? Well, that was easy. "Draconifors." Plus, in a duel, how freaky would that be? To suddenly turn, a tree or a pillar of stone into a dragon that followed the caster's will? She'd throw down her wand in an instant!
