It several more tries before Olivia was satisfied with the way she herself was pronouncing the three-word incantation. She could see it working as a tongue twister and couldn’t imaging it not being a struggle if she had a bit of a brogue like her grandfather. Now she was ready to move onto the wand movement and getting it just right. She was doing her best to put the best foot forward when she put it all together, especially seeing as she already dealing with her wand.
Learning magic was hard enough.
Olivia took out her wand and looked back to the notes on movement. Point and flourish. That in and of itself seemed simple enough. Point and flourish…point and flourish. The Ravenclaw following through with the two-step movement over and over again as she thought on the words. Point and flourish… Piertotum Locomotor Annexus. Point and flourish… Piertotum Locomotor Annexus. Now all she had to do was put it all together and speak aloud. She was nowhere near qualified to do wordless magic.
But even vocalizing could be easier said than done.
“Okay Mr. Cat…shall we try this?” she absently mused to her clay figure as she readied herself for trying it out. A deep breath or two, a gathering of her focus. “Piertotum Locomotor Annexus!” Olivia finally cast, pointing at the clay cat with her wand before giving the required swish. No soft blue light like the professor had got. “Swish you tail,” she tentatively ordered.
Nothing.
Nope…no luck yet.
