One she hoped could be remedied with a good old fashioned conversation over some tea. Like, actual tea. Not any of that putrid stuff the woman was into. Unfortunately for the Moxinator, tea would have to wait.
The tale James had told her was quite something and while she could understand the man's horror, she couldn't help but be a little amused. Just a little. Tiny bit. TINY. Not that she'd told him as much. Instead she'd dutifully jumped up and followed him, thinking that this was her opportunity to corner the woman outside of her tent-because she was NOT going in there, okay?-and bringing her back to the office so she could get to the bottom of things...privately.
As they neared the far side of the tent, Moxley was paying more attention to the cloud of smoke in the air. What WAS that? If Professor Draper had been concerned about potions, maybe he had a point. "Perhaps a bubble-head charm would be wise." She was fairly certain many of the students already had crushes on her, as well as some staff. (We're talking about you, Hirsch.) Better to play it sa-
??
Screaming, yes she'd heard it. Heard it, put the charm on herself, and ran after Draper as fast as her little legs could carry her.
The scene she walked into was one she'd never expected in a MILLION years. There was a child. IN. A. POT. THEREWASACHILDINAPOTOFBOILINGWATER! She quickly extinguished the flame and yelped, "WHAT IN THE NAME OF MERLIN IS GOING ON HERE?" Quote:

Finally he came to a stop. And… BLINK BLINK BLINK. What the heck was going on here?
So uh, take it that now wouldn’t be an appropriate time to say “I told you so”?
Right yeah, definitely not appropriate. He quickly shoved the idea away as he looked around at all the panicked and confused faces. Something was wrong. ”Must be another one of her potions…” he muttered to Meredith. They did not look right.
Seeing that Meredith took care of the fire , James turned his attention to the red sparks that had caught his eyes. W H A T? Drawing his attention to the Gryffindor (Blaise), he pointed his wand at the serpents, casting a nonverbal evanesco to vanish them. SNAKES UP HIS LEGS??? Where did the hag come up with this stuff. Come on, SERIOUSLY!?
And…. Did those kids have antlers?
Never mind that, first he went to lift the little guy (Brady) out of the pot. ”You okay, kid?” he asked lowering himself so that he could properly talk to the little guy. Merlin, was it just him or were some of these kids elf-sized?
Urgency. He’d take the rest of the situation based on urgency. Snakes had been taken care of, child was now out of pot, and nothing else looked like it needed his urgent response. Good, this was a start. He assessed the boy, waiting for him to declare any injuries he may have. If there were any immediate horrors, James would take care of it while the Headmistress found out what exactly was going on here.
Though in James’ opinion, that much was already figured out. Hag poisons Professors. Hag poisons students. Hag boils student. Hag should be fired. And that’s the end of that. Oh yeah and “I told you so”. Quote:

No this wasn't in her plan. How could they ruin her lunch, she was starving and the kids were so juicy looking. "Just holding a lesson about ways to do readings miss.' The boy was coming out of the fire now this was not good. She latched on to his arm. "This little one got so excited he jumped into the pot." She smiled showing her nasty teeth.
The smell of boiling child was too much for her so close though, she couldn't help herself but she leaned towards the boy and sniffed at him and thought about taking a bite at his ear. He just smelled so delicious. Just one little bite wouldn't hurt.. Quote:

"A LITTLE HELP HERE WOULD BE GREAT!" Bradson yelled out to the professor and the headmistress. That would be great.
Bradson noticed the fire was gone and then he was being lifted out of the pot. He looked around and saw Professor Draper. Brady blinked a few times and looked at the man. "Yeah, sure." The Scottish boy shrugged. He was just put in a boiling hot water and was about to be eaten by the hag in the room. "If my grandmother finds out about this you guys won't like it one bit. You won't hear the end of it." The first year said. WHAT WAS ONE HIS ARM? WHO WAS ON HIS ARM? Brady winced in pain as he felt the hand on him. "GET OFF OF ME!" Bradson kicked and flailed around. She was sniffing him? WHY WAS SHE DOING THAT? Brady flailed around and more and then put some force with his head and head butted the hag. Quote:

She was furious. FURIOUS.
Producing a gust of wind with her wand, the headmistress tried to clear up any of the remaining smoke lingering in the air. She needed to know what was really happening because she was NOT buying whatever it was the Ursula woman was selling. The lady was....going to bite that child! O_O "STEP AWAY FROM THAT BOY, MADAM." Be cool, Mox. Down the Gryffindor a bit. Okay. They had this under control. "Professor Draper, please get a handle on him." She highly doubted headbutting the crazy lady was going to help, though she did understand the boy's reasoning. How often are you nearly supper and live to tell about it? She'd have headbutted the woman too. "Pr-" Well, calling the woman professor seemed wildly ridiculous now. "Miss Black, whatever your alleged intentions were, this is unacceptable. You need to follow me back to my office, now. We have things to discuss." She looked to James briefly, wand still gripped tightly in her hand. "Please see to it that these kids make it back to the castle once whatever it is causing this has worn off. You might want to call for backup."
Eyes locked on the woman in question once more, she motioned for her to get moving towards the castle. Oh, nothing but a bit of Hufflepuff Soup.
