See how Davie was such a good kid, despite the rumors HADDIE was probably spreading about him?
Anyway. He'd wasted enough time scowling at the back of her actually ridiculous head all class. David was grateful they'd be standing up and doing something now, and so... he just did that. Stood up, moved over to the box to get a trash bag, and then drifted back to his tire-home. He would make a GREAT bum, even though that wasn't the point of this exercise. The point was... to clean? Their classroom? Er?? "Headmistress Moxley?" David raised his hand, decided that was silly since everyone was moving around, and then moved himself closer to the teacher. "Why are we cleaning up the classroom? Shouldn't we be out in... I dunno, Hogsmeade or London, cleaning up a REAL city?" He was assuming that this was their usual classroom, just transfigured. And as a follow-up question, "What do you want us to do with the old tires?"
The buckets had many obvious uses, but the tires? Couldn't they make tire swings like the Gryffindor kid had tried to do? Moxley smiled at David and then turned her attention to the students, some that were already up and looking for people to work with. Her eyes followed them as she answered the Ravenclaw. "Honestly, I wanted everyone to be able to try their hand at volunteering in a safe environment, one I could control." Especially with what had happened to two of her students who she hoped would return to school soon. She couldn't imagine what their parents were going through. "I also think it's important to develop your positive thinking and turn it into positive action, even if it's just in our classroom today." There would be other opportunities to expand on the making a place liveable idea soon enough for them.
As for the tires, Moxley shrugged and looked at him once more. "Be creative, Mr. Truebridge. I'll leave that up to you and your classmates to decide." She gave him an encouraging smile.
